Yamapi will be appearing in a new drama!  I'm really excited as to how he'll portray and develop his character. I hope he'll find his role fun and challenging and that he'll mature more as an actor and as a person through this experience.

What I've seen of his work so far:

... the emptiness now that Gakkou e Ikou! MAX has ended. Lately, I've been watching (catching up with) some of the past episodes. Really, the staff, directors, producers, EVERYONE did an amazing job with it. V6 especially made it work. They didn't just entertain the viewers; they were able to do so much GOOD with it/through it. Once again, what an awesome show (from an awesome group)!

Some words that come to mind (because I want to dwell on it just a little bit longer):

addictive, amazing, amusing, awesome, beneficial, calming, cheerful, consistent, crazy, creative, determined, distracting, diverting, earnest, educational, emotional, energetic, entertaining, exciting, fulfilling, fun, hard-working, humorous, innovative, insane, inspirational, jovial, motivational, moving, odd, outrageous, passionate, powerful, practical, purposeful, refreshing, relaxing, satisfying, soothing, surprising, sympathetic, thoughtful, touching, wonderful...

not an exhaustive list but it's getting late and i'm just sounding redundant now.

I recently watched the clip of VVV6 Ranking Battle when Okada Junichi did the Delivery segment with Will Smith (2009.02.20). I was really impressed with how easy-going and charming Okada is. Will Smith was also amused. It was good to see him having fun in this out-of-the-ordinary segment with Okada, even after being on so many shows and going through so many interviews. In the end, Will Smith invited Okada to the United States, saying that he wanted to return the kindness to him. He even turned around at the doorway, gesturing to Okada to call him.

IF ONLY!!! Okada fans residing in the US, UNITE! Let's bring the man to Hollywood so he can bring the world more of his positive influence!

That would be just awesome if Okada got some good Hollywood connections. That man is so talented, interesting, hard-working, and just amazing that we, the general public, are greatly missing out. However, in order to do so, he will have to focus on learning English. But, seeing how he is with new challenges, I think he'd do fine. And his singing in English isn't too bad, compared to many (MOST) other Johnny's.

Here's hoping Okada and Yamapi get some Hollywood opportunities knocking at their door soon! (I just had to add Yamapi in this post.)

There is someone in Johnny's who is more interesting than Yamapi. It took me some time to find him because I was very distracted by Yamapi himself. As much as I adore Yamapi, he is still young and needs to test out more waters. Overall, I think NEWS might be holding him back. (But I prefer NEWS over KAT-TUN any day.) I feel like he has so much more to offer. Also, his choice of friends are not all beneficial to him.

But I am definitely a V6 fan. Recently, I've been watching their concerts and I love it that their recent ones do not include the little juniors. They're mostly distracting and messy. V6 is more than enough to keep the audience enthralled with their performances, their songs, their dancing, their acrobatics, their MCs, their chemistry... just everything. VIBES concert, especially, was just... W.O.W.! And Okada Junichi sure is amazing. I can go on and on about him. :)

About the costumes burning down, thank God no one was hurt! After all, VIBES costumes were SO much better than previous ones. Go-kun's work is superior to the Johnny's costume designers of the past. Perhaps some considerate fans would be willing to perform some incendiary work near the costume trailers of other Johnny groups who are still cursed by those extra-shiny, extra-feathery, extra-sequiny... things.

In conclusion, Yamapi and Okada are... precious.

I realize that Yamapi is the steadiest in his vocal skills. Let me rephrase that. I didn't say he had the best voice but the steadiest. Out of the six members, Yamapi went off-key the least. I find that very... kakkoi!

On another note (literally and figuratively), despite Tegoshi's good voice, he needs to exert better control, especially when he's harmonizing. He's not the main vocal at that time and therefore needs to make sure he doesn't overpower the other singer(s).

Going back to Yamapi, he's also the best dancer of the bunch. Massu also is exceptional and Ryo follows closely. The other three need to work at it. It's clear that Tegoshi has worked really hard since his debut but he turned into a slutty dancer rather than a cool-looking one. I guess he reached one of his personal goals.

the more I get to know about Yamashita Tomohisa, the more interesting I find him.

There are many celebrities who are interesting... initially.  But the more I get to know about them, either there's not much more to find out or they do not turn out to be respectable people.

However, I find that Yamapi is not so.  He is definitely someone worthy of respect and admiration.

Looking forward to getting to know about him more...

So, how DISTURBING is this??!!!?

Many of the boys in Johnny's Entertainment look up to Johnny Kitagawa, the head of JE.  They mention him in their interviews and talk about him with fondness.  Or so it seems...  After having read this, I really wonder, though.
